One Response to “John Coltrane Performing Naima”

  1. 1 Brian English

I’ve watched a thousand MTV videos but never a jazz video. This performance is spellbinding for anyone who has soaked up a Coltrane album with any interest. The camera work animates Coltrane’s signature style that I have listened to so many times but never seen. Their concerted and lubricated performance is just as gripping as listening to the album. And the vaporizing sweat …you can’t engineer those moves.
